Zayna T King
Zayna earned her PhD in Cell Biology and Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on understanding the dynamics of cytoskeletal networks and their influence on cell motility under both physiological and pathological conditions. Following her graduate studies, Zayna transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, where she supported the FDA-regulated development and validation of newly manufactured drugs and biologics.
After a year in the pharmaceutical sector, Zayna joined Protochips as a product specialist and has been an integral part of the company ever since. She finds great fulfillment in engaging with researchers worldwide to share insights about Protochips' in situ TEM systems and experimental solutions. She also enjoys staying informed about groundbreaking research that continues to push scientific boundaries.
In her role at Protochips, Zayna collaborates closely with the Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development teams to support the creation and commercialization of innovative in situ TEM products. Although she is not formally trained as a transmission electron microscopist, her extensive experience with light microscopy has facilitated a seamless and enjoyable transition into the TEM community.
