Lee-Jene Lai is the principal beamline scientist and spokesperson for TPS 24A1 at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) in Taiwan. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry. She then changed fields and earned a PhD in nuclear science from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. She has worked at NSRRC for many years, focusing on biosensors for cancer cell detection. Subsequently, she became a construction project leader of soft X-ray tomography (SXT) in TPS 24A1 and developed the SXT technique of 3D imaging in biomedical research. She was a group leader of X-ray imaging group. Recently, she has been a spokesperson for the TPS 24A1 soft X-ray tomography beamline and endstation and convener of the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Program in NSRRC.
