I am a structural biologist with keen interest in macromolecular biophysics of proteins using conventional and advanced X-ray crystallography and UV-VIS spectroscopy. Using serial- and time- resolved crystallography techniques, we attempt to elucidate structural mechanism in proteins. A remarkable step of my research has been about designing and development of user-friendly sample-delivery techniques for serial synchrotron crystallography (SSX). I envision to accelerate the field of structural enzymology by innovating strategies for ligand-based reaction- triggering in enzymes and elucidating reactions kinetics.
At Nagoya University (Japan), I am conducting research on bioengineering and applications vertebral- based far- red fluorescent proteins, and developing structural techniques to understand their energy transfer mechanism during fluorescence. Additionally, I teach experimental biophysical to students of Applied Physics Department and involved in developing a networking platform for international researchers at the University.
